UGCG proteins play a key role in the glucosphingolipid (GSL) synthesis pathway based on glucosylceramide in the Golgi apparatus, catalyzing the key step of transferring glucose to ceramide to form glucosylceramide (GlcCer). GSLs have effects on membrane microdomains, affecting processes such as membrane trafficking and signal transduction. UGCG Protein, Human (Cell-Free, His) is the recombinant human-derived UGCG protein, expressed by E. coli Cell-free , with N-10*His labeled tag.
