MTIC-d₃  (Synonyms: 替莫唑胺代谢物- MTIC-d₃)

MTIC-d₃ is deuterium labeled MTIC. MTIC is the active metabolite of Temozolomide (TMZ). MITC has lower bioavailability in the brain compared with TMZ, because the agent’s permeability through biological barriers and tumor cell membranes affects bioavailability. MITC exhibits low affinity to biological membrane[1].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
