Nefazodone-d₆ hydrochloride  (Synonyms: BMY-13754-d₆; MJ-13754-1-d₆)

Nefazodone-d₆ (hydrochloride) is the deuterium labeled Nefazodone hydrochloride. Nefazodone hydrochloride (BMY-13754) is a potent and selective 5HT2A (Ki=5.8 nM) antagonist with moderate inhibition of 5-HT and noradrenaline uptake (IC50 of 290 and 300 nM, respectively). Nefazodone hydrochloride is a phenylpiperazine antidepressant with less alpha-adrenergic blocking activity[1][2].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
