Cefotaxime-d₃ sodium  (Synonyms: Cefotaxim-d₃ sodium; HR-756-d₃ sodium)

Cefotaxime-d₃ (sodium) is the deuterium labeled Cefotaxime (sodium salt). Cefotaxime sodium salt, a β-lactamase stable cephalosporin and a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, possesses broad-spectrum antibiotic activity against numerous Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria[1][2][3][4][5].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
