D-psicose is an orally active rare sugar. D-psicose inhibits p38-MAPK phosphorylation and MCP-1 expression. D-psicose inhibits the AGEs/RAGE/NF-κB pathway. D-psicose protects pancreatic β-islets, improves hyperglycemia and high-fat diet-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease[1][2][3][4][5].

Incubation Time: up to 5 days
Result: Dose-dependently reduced MCP-1 mRNA.
Showed no significant effect at 2.8 mM.

D-Psicose (5%；通过饮用水口服；13 周) 可保护胰腺 β 胰岛，从而改善 OLETF 大鼠的胰岛素抵抗[2]。
D-Psicose (200 mg/kg 体重；口服；28 天) 可改善 C57BL/6J db/db 小鼠高血糖症，提高葡萄糖耐量，使肝脏甘油三酯和总胆固醇水平分别降低 37.88% 和 62.89%，并减缓其体重增长[3]。
D-Psicose (2.5%-5%；通过饮用水口服；12 周) 可减少高脂饮食诱导的 NAFLD ICR 小鼠的肝脏脂质蓄积和炎症损伤，改善血清脂质谱和氧化应激，调节肠道菌群 (增加 Akkermansia 丰度) 和血清代谢组学 (增强抗炎代谢物)，并抑制 AGEs/RAGE/NF-κB 通路[4]。
D-Psicose (0.01%-1%；通过饮食口服；6 周) 在 F344 雄性大鼠中对 Diethylnitrosamine (HY-N7434) 诱导的肝癌形成没有促进或预防作用[5]。

  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?
