Galegine hemisulfate 

Galegine hemisulfate, a guanidine derivative, contributes to weight loss in mice. Galegine hemisulfate activates AMPK in 3T3-L1 adipocytes and L6 myotubes, as well as in the H4IIE rat hepatoma and HEK293 human kidney cell lines. Galegine hemisulfate has antibacterial activity, with minimum inhibitory concentration of 4 mg/L against Staphylococcus aureus strains^[1][2].

Galegine (10 μM-3 mM；5 小时) hemisulfate 预处理可产生浓度依赖性刺激，刺激 3T3-L1 脂肪细胞摄取不依赖胰岛素的葡萄糖，对细胞活力没有任何影响。Galegine (1 μM-1 mM，5 小时) hemisulfate 孵育可产生浓度依赖性刺激，刺激 L6 肌管对葡萄糖的吸收，同样不会对细胞活力产生任何影响^[1]。
Galegine (0.3-300 μM；24 小时) hemisulfate 可使 3T3-L1 脂肪细胞的基础甘油释放略有减少，而 Isoprenaline (HY-108353) 刺激的甘油释放则明显减少。。Galegine (10 或 300 μM) hemisulfate 孵育 H4IIE 大鼠肝癌细胞长达 6 小时，在细胞裂解物中测量到 AMPK 的时间依赖性激活，在 360 分钟时最大激活，在 300 μM Galegine hemisulfate 存在下，24 小时仍可观察到两倍活化。300 μM Galegine hemisulfate 的效果明显大于 10 μM。在 3T3L-1 脂肪细胞和 L-6 肌管中与 Galegine hemisulfate 孵育 1 小时会产生浓度依赖性的 AMPK 激活。Galegine hemisulfate 还在人肾细胞系 (HEK293) 中产生浓度依赖性的酶激活^[1]。
